About Simple Grover
A career dedicated to transforming libraries into the intellectual heart of schools.

My Professional Journey
My professional story spans over 26 years — a journey that began in the fast-paced corporate world and evolved into a deeply fulfilling career in international education. During my first decade, I held progressive leadership roles at HCL Technologies, Ansals API Real Estate, and First Flight Couriers, building strong foundations in stakeholder management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
“The transition from corporate leadership to librarianship was not a departure — it was an evolution. The skills that drive successful teams are the same ones that build thriving learning environments.”
In 2009, I made the pivotal decision to channel my leadership experience into education, beginning as a school librarian in Gurugram, India. Over the following years, I rapidly expanded my expertise across multiple curricula — CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate. Each school presented unique challenges: building systems from scratch, preparing for rigorous inspections, and driving cultural shifts toward inquiry-based learning.
My career took an international turn in 2019 when I moved to Dubai, joining Ambassador International Academy at its founding stage — with no existing library. In 180 working days, I built a complete library ecosystem from zero: infrastructure, cataloguing systems, policies, and staffing. The result was a verified 30% increase in student engagement within one year.
“Every school I've worked with has taught me that a great library is not built by books alone — it's built by relationships, systems, and an unwavering commitment to the learner.”
Today, I serve as Head IB Librarian at Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awal School (KBZA) in Abu Dhabi — a pioneering ADEK government pilot school pursuing IB PYP and MYP authorisation. Here, I lead all library development efforts in direct support of the school's IB candidacy, designing systems and programmes that meet the highest international standards. With experience spanning six schools across India and the UAE, four IB programmes, and multiple accreditation frameworks, I bring a comprehensive perspective to every challenge I take on.
“A library is not a collection of books — it is a living ecosystem that empowers inquiry, nurtures critical thinking, and connects learners to the world.”
